- Up to £25,000 of legal expenses insurance, should you need legal representation.
- Defence of motor prosecutions while in your employ as a licensed taxi driver.
- Payment of your legal costs in your defence of a prosecution that might result in the loss of your DVLC, Hackney carriage or proprietors license.
- Representation at a disciplinary hearing conducted by the London Public Carriage Office which could result in the suspension or revocation of the insured person's Hackney carriage license.
The London Cab Drivers Club will also........
- Liaise with the Public Carriage Office in an attempt to establish new licensed taxi ranks where touts are most active.
A great deal of work previously lost to the pirates has since been regained. Mostly by the efforts of ordinary LCDC members making a special effort at these venues.
- Promote the licensed cab trade via national and international connections.
- Publish our monthly newspaper, The Badge, which is distributed free to members and the licensed trade.
- Actively challenge unfair legislation which could be introduced to the detriment of the licensed taxi trade.
